The Township has received a 2019 Recreation Passport Grant for development of a park trail and improvements!
2019 Approved Road Projects Riga Township Local Roads:
  • 8 Proposed Road Projects from the Lenawee County Road Commission: 1500 ton stone; Scraping and Chloride application for 25.9 miles of gravel roads; Culvert replacements at Horton/County Line, Mautz/County Line, Thompson/N. of Horton, and 3 Riga Hwy/Yankee/Ohio Line; Crackfill/seal coat/fog seal on Mulberry from Riga Hwy to Lipp Hwy; and Hot patch, underseal & asphalt overlay on Fike between Thompson Hwy and Berkey Hwy.  Project bids total $203,844.92 with the board expecting $35,000.00 to be in matching funding from an LCRC program.
